Dr. Ustarez, was born in Bolivia and grew up in Los Angeles.  She earned her bachelor's degree  in microbiology from California State University, Los Angeles, and later received her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco.  She continued to pursue her training as a general dentist, and completed a General Practice Residency at Harbor- UCLA.

From personal  experience, Dr. Ustarez understands the challenges of obtaining quality oral health care and as a result her mission is to eliminate barriers that patients may experience while seeking treatment. She has volunteered at a variety of health fairs, outreach programs (both domestically and internationally), and has donated her time in mitigating gaps within pediatric dental care. She is compassionate and understanding of the anxiety that some of her patients as well as their caregivers may have. She  strives to always ensure a gentle and welcoming approach to her care.

As an active member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and past member of the Hispanic Dental Association, Dr. Ustrarez utilizes her continuous education and community outreach to provide the best possible treatment for her patients.

Dr. Ustarez is the youngest of two, and enjoys being a dog mom, and auntie to her niece and nephew. She is fluent in Spanish and in her spare time she enjoys staying active by running, hiking or biking.

My personal experience with oral health care disparities has been the driving force behind my ultimate goal: to be a factor of change in my own community and help eliminate gaps in our healthcare system.”
