Dr. Gao loves working with children, and enjoys teaming up with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to deliver the best possible care for her patients, as she would for her own children. Her favorite thing about dentistry is to help young patients overcome dental anxiety, have fun at dental visits, and develop healthy habits that will enable them to enjoy a life-long healthy smile.

Dr. Gao received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She also has a Ph.D. degree in cell biology from Yale University where she studied cellular immune mechanisms. With a strong research background, she emphasizes evidence-based dentistry and is passionate about translating research discoveries to improve outcomes in dental disease prevention and treatment.

She currently lives in the Central Valley with her husband and their two young children. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
